Theme Based Activities

1.Orange Day

Orange is a dynamic colour that stimulates imagination and creativity. The day was celebrated by disseminating the significance of orange objects in nature like oranges, sun and pumkin. Our little seedlings were shining bright in shades of vibrant orange colour.

2.Red Day

The colour of love and smiles, illuminates the air with energy, vigour and exuberance. Red Day was an excellent learning activity which helped children to indentify the colour and reinforce their cognitive skills. Live presentations were made to signify the importance of all the red things in nature.

3.Blue Day

Blue is a cool and calming colour of sky and sea. The significance of blue colour was shown through a series of activities like water conservation, sink and float, skit presentation on scarcity of water etc. Children were told about importance of water and different methods to save it.

4.Purple Day

The colour purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power and ambition. Purple represents meaning of wealth extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence and magic.

5.Black and White Day

White is the lightest colour and is achromatic while black is the darkest colour, the result of the absence or complete absorption of lights. Kids were shown different black and white objects such as white paper, wool, stars, clouds, flag, pigeon, chessboard, penguin, panda, zebra, zebra cross. They listened to rhymes related to the colour of black and white.

Pink Day

Pink colour represents caring, compassion and love. It stands for unconditional love and understanding and is associated with giving and sharing. The young ones come dressed in pink and brought pink flowers and toys. They were shown videos and rhymes related to the colour pink.

5.Green Day

Green is the colour of life and prosperity. Green day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm and the children were told about saving plants, climate change, sustainable use of natural resources etc. Children were told about different methods of saving resources and a pick and tell competition regarding all green fruits and vegetables was organised for primary classes.

Yellow Day

Shades of yellow stimulates our children with warmth, happiness, energy and optimism. a day dedicated to yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. The objective was to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour.
